From Preston
Take the A59. At Tarleton traffic lights, take the A565 (straight on). On approaching Southport there is a roundabout and you will see the Plough pub on your left. Take the third exit off the roundabout onto the coastal road. After a couple of miles, you will pass the fairground. Just after the fairground there is a roundabout. Go straight ahead, staying on the coastal road. After about half a mile, there is another roundabout. Take the first left off the roundabout (singnposted Birkdale). Soon you will see the Fishermans rest pub on your right hand side. Continue straight ahead to traffic lights. Go straight ahead at traffic lights, to the next set of traffic lights, go straight ahead again, and then over the railway crossing. After half a mile, there is another set of traffic lights, go straight ahead again, and we are about 1 mile on the right opposite the Tesco Express.
From Liverpool
Take the A565 leading to the Formby by-pass, you will pass RAF Woodvale. At the end of by-pass carry on straight ahead. Eventually you will approach Ainsdale roundabout. Stay on the A565. Soon you will pass through the speed cameras. As you approach a set of traffic lights, get in the right hand lane, but carry straight ahead. Immediately after the traffic lights, there is an island, where you should turn to the right onto Liverpool road (A5267). Carry on the road and you will pass the Crown pub. We are about half a mile further down the road opposite Tesco Express.
From the M6
Turn off the M6 at junction 26 and join the M58. Turn off the M58 at junction 3. Take the A570 (Southport). Stay on the A570 and go through Ormskirk. As you approach Southport you will see the big roundabout at McDonalds. Stay on the A570 (town centre). Soon you will see the King George college on your right. Go past the college to the second set of traffic lights. Turn left at the traffic lights (A5267). Soon you will see Kwik fit on your right. Stay on the same road, go straight ahead at the next traffic lights, where you will see the George pub. At the next set of traffic lights, turn left onto Liverpool road. We are about 1 mile down the road opposite Tesco Express.
